古有「桂林山水甲天下,陽朔山水甲桂林!」之說,豈有入寶山空手而回。因此,我們也不避俗的乘竹筏去。

竹筏應該還挺風行的,湖面上幾乎塞滿了。頂著棚的大多是商家,有賣啤酒冰品的,也有擅自幫拍然後跟你兜售照片的。

設在下游處的簡易攝影站,當竹筏從上游滑下,前方的照相機就卡卡卡拍了數張。

 

看過歐美的山水後,不知為何,總覺得中國的山水看來就是帶點蒼桑,歷經時代的痕跡,看起來舊舊老老的,像覆蓋了一層灰似的!

 

No luxury bus any more.

 

Bus to YangShou was supposed 6 hours long. But it broke down somewhere before YangShou so we wait half hour or so to fix it. Unluckily, it didn't work. The bus driver made a phone call, and later another bus picked us up and drove us at YangShou station.

 

A tout came over and recommended us to stay in his hotel while we were trying to get some energy back after long hour journey. It's about half pass 9, so we took his offer instead of looking around. His place was pretty good though.

 

Next day we treated ourself some western style breakfast in West Street which accordingly to Lonely Planet is the only place you could get a decent western food in the south.

 

Later we booked a cave tour in Budda Mud Cave which is cool and quite amazing inside of cave.

 

At dinner time, all tables are set up around the night market. It's pretty much the same thing they sell in every stall, a famous dish in GuangXi called "Beer Fish".

 

We took bamboo rafting in LiJiang another day. It takes half hour to get to the river bank. Ladies sells flowers crowns, beer and cold drinks along the river. Different price for me and K. A flower crown will cost me RMB 2 but RMB 5 for K.

 

View is gorgeous along the river. You can spot few ladys selling stuff in the river. They even positioned somewhere before a dem and taking photos of you when rafting down the dem. RMB 20 each. Auch! But a brilliant idea.

 

Had a small talk with boat master who has a 3-year old son. He makes RMB 450 a month rowing boat once a day after LiJiang River developed 5 years ago. Before he took this job, he worked at a fruit farm. Average life expenses for one person per month is about RMB 250 which will be just about a day's expense in Taiwan.

 

Good thing about bus drivers in China is there are usually 2 drivers on board taking shifts. Buses might be on the road for 4 hours or even longer depends on road condition and distance. I think it's a very good system; unlikely bus drivers in Taiwan would work more than 10 hours a day and it often causes car accident.
